You will be missed greatly.
"I think the idea of mixing luxury and mass-market fashion is very modern —
wearing head-to-toe designer has become a bit passé. It’s a new era in fashion —
there are no rules. It’s all about the individual and personal style, wearing high-end,
low-end, classic labels, and
up-and-coming designers all together. " -Alexander McQueen
I think I like his shoe designs the best. They are totally crazy and out there, and at certain points don't even look like footwear anymore!
ReplyDeleteI was going to write here that those shoes - oh those shoes!!! - are totally rad, completely mindblowing. But ratio beat me to that point. Thanks ratio.
ReplyDeleteRIP Lee McQueen.
PS Usually when I see high heals, the first thought that comes to my mind is the physics of the situation. To wit, that it is impossible for a person to stand up in high heals with heals longer than about 5.25 inches. But when I saw the pictures of the McQueen high heals you kindly shared with us, I was so blown away that the physics did not even enter my nerdy mind. Outrageously physics is completely irrelevant in this case. Though McQueen would certainly disagree, as he was surely deeply aware that function must be attended to, at least in shoes.
